The Schramm’s invited us to share a cabin with them in Wrightwood for two days for a chance to spend some time together and so the guys could snowboard and ski. We jumped at the chance and were blessed with a wonderful time! We drove up Thursday evening and arrived to a hot meal prepared by Verity and we met little Beau for the first time! Darrell, Eric, Abby, and Nathan drove up the next morning and with Byron and Peter, spent til mid-day on Mountain High. Meanwhile I took the boys out to the little bit of snow left behind the cabin:

      I love the red!

Since Audrey’s mommy is very sick, the kids came up to our house for the afternoon and we had a little party! We had hot dogs and cupcakes and party poppers, not to mention body paint, slipin’slide, and swinging!

Audrey is a precious little gal and she and Seth have worlds of fun together. We’re so glad you’re our neighbor, darlin’! Happy Birthday!

Wherein Ian discovers that he can push the door open and get into MUD!!! And afterwards enjoy a warm bath and a teething biscuit.

Big wide world. I’m exploring! Seth knows how to have fun! A mud puddle right in the middle of the yard! Oooh! “Oh I wish I were a little bar of soap!” Yummy barley biscuit!

We have been inside for a week, it seems. Like Seth says “It’s pretty sure windy!” we couldn’t go out in it comfortably, and then the rains came for days, which I love, but now there is mud. The boys love mud…I don’t. And it’s cold. But the orchard is finally passable and that’s what really counts around here!

A day with friends and legos and cards! Almost three! “Me too, Mommy!”

“Men go abroad to wonder at the heights of mountains, at the huge waves of the sea, at the long courses of the rivers, at the vast compass of the ocean, at the circular motions of the stars, and they pass by themselves without wondering.”
