Peter’s been working all summer on making the managing aspect of my website easier for me to handle and also organizing the layout and categories, and I’m so excited to be using it soon! But the design stumped us both. I had an idea of what I wanted it to look like, but no clear concept of what could work.

Jane moved home from college this summer after living away for five years and it’s been great to see the beautiful person she is and to get to know her better. It was of her time and amazing creativity that I asked her to help me with the design of my website so I asked her to dinner last night. She graciously fed Ian in his highchair while having a wonderful conversation with me between spoonfuls for the baby and the boy’s interruptions. Then she sat down at my computer and after sketching a general idea of what she had in mind, took a few images from my files, asked me to write “Streetpoet”, used some crazy Photoshop skills and voila! this amazing design is born. I am in awe of her creative ability. She honestly has a gift from the Lord and I’m so honored that she has given her time and talent to help me.

This is just the “first sketch” as Jane calls it. Peter is taking it apart layer by layer and building it into my new site and making it come to life!

{webdesign} This is the first sketch. The pic of me is going to change, and the list font will be different. Less fancy. What do you think?

As Jane was sitting here with me Seth came up and asked “Is that your website Mommy?” and when I answered yes it is he asked, “Does it have webs?”. 🙂

You’re a great cousin, and I’m so glad you’re part of my family! The boys LOVE you and your brother and really enjoy spending time with you. I appreciate who you have been to Peter and I. As Best Man you stood as witness to our marriage and oneness before God and have been an encouragement to us. You are much loved and I’m so glad you had a great birthday!

Uncle Harold and Aunt Peggy visited over Labor Day weekend! Ian was clapping and enjoying Anna singing to him. :-) Jerome got a supercool gift from Laura and has been telling us the military time every few mintues for a few days straight! Peter left the hood up on the van and Jerome found the engine fascinating. Showing me what he thought might be the problem. :-) He gave me the sweetest grin when he saw the camera. Precious baby! Daddy got out his old train set this weekend to play with the boys! The boys loved it! And Ian was safely tucked in his chair with a snack enjoying watching and cheering them on! It only derailed a few times. :-) Built to last! These are Peter’s pictures of the trains. SO fun, Daddy, thank you for sharing your trains! Jerome found this in the old chest with the trains and brought it to show me saying “Mommy! Look what I found! It’s a medicine bottle from when Daddy was a medical man!” :-)

Seth is our precious second born and has by God’s grace survived an accident with a hammer claw cutting his head as it came loose from a tree he was pulling it out of. He stuck a polished amathest down his ear (it fell out), and only got a little chunk out of the back of his throat by a plastic pipe he had in his mouth (it’s “closing” healing very quickly) all in the past week and a half!

I thank Jesus for His protection over Seth as the little guy lives life to the fullest with all abandonment!

Seth’s typical face for a camera.

Seth’s Words for this past week:

He asked me for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and I said I’d be happy to make him a peanut butter and honey sandwich as we were all out of jelly. He said “Ok! Can we get some from a jellyfish?” 🙂

So CSUN has started classes this week, Jerome got a haircut, Seth said some hilarious things, and I slept a cold and the weekend away. We’re still waiting for Ian to cut his fourth molar.

Seth Words:

We heard the common roar of an airplane flying overhead and Seth exclaims “An airplane is landing at our house!” Jerome said “No, it’s not.” Seth asked “Then what’s it doing?” (the sound is fading) “It’s turning off! There’s an airplane at our house!”

“The food floated up, to the top of my head!” I asked him, “What does that mean, Seth?” and he told me, “That means the tractors won’t run over us.” ?!?

He’s still grasping the idea of creation: “God putted everything onto everything!”

Weekend pics:

Check out the baby swing contraption that Daddy put together for Ian! And notice Jerome’s favoring of his arm and his beautiful hair. I had forgotten how difficult it is to train a little one to mind boundaries! Seth starts making faces as soon as he sees the camera pointed at him… and keeps making faces until he’s told to smile! Jerome enjoying the baby swing. Seth enjoying the baby swing. watching the swing at a safe distance until it’s his turn. Looking for an airplane. The dirt and rash is just a part of his life these days. He gets two or three baths per day, and we’re still waiting for his fourth molar to cut through! I love how Ian is always watching his brothers! “Mommy, did you see me blink?” Silly Seth Post haircut, doing math with Daddy. “Mommy, please take my picture with Daddy.” He told me he didn’t like his hair long anymore. As I cut his hair he was catching it in his hands and told me “It lookses a lot like your hair, Mommy!” :-) He likes it, but I’m not sure I do yet. What do you think?
