It was the first time I’d been with Mama for her birthday in years and Regina and I wanted to throw her a party. We were staying at her house, so we had to be sneaky, but I’m sure she knew something was up! The Bishops came and most of her family came which made it a pretty full house and a fun time! Regina and I had made a pasta bar with three different kinds of pastas and a myriad of toppings that everyone chose from and we sauted their choice in a pan with their sauce of choice. We were so busy that we forgot to serve the Cesar salad, the garlic bread made it to the end of the meal, and the stuffed mushrooms made it to the dessert table, but it was crazy fun! And yummy! I am sad that I didn’t get pictures of everyone, and those I did get were of the people I could grab as they headed out the door! But thanks for coming everyone! And Mama, I hope you had a wonderful and happy birthday and feel special and loved as you are.

It’s hard to believe our baby is one already. His first year has been a wonderful time and he is truly a bright blessing to us! I enjoyed remembering his birth and the wonderful people who surrounded us as we welcomed Ian into the world. I was praying for him before he was born and will continue through his life, that God will be glorified in Ian’s life and that he will love the Lord his God with his all. That is my hope for you, littlest Guy. I love you and happy birthday!
