It was the first time I’d been with Mama for her birthday in years and Regina and I wanted to throw her a party. We were staying at her house, so we had to be sneaky, but I’m sure she knew something was up! The Bishops came and most of her family came which made it a pretty full house and a fun time! Regina and I had made a pasta bar with three different kinds of pastas and a myriad of toppings that everyone chose from and we sauted their choice in a pan with their sauce of choice. We were so busy that we forgot to serve the Cesar salad, the garlic bread made it to the end of the meal, and the stuffed mushrooms made it to the dessert table, but it was crazy fun! And yummy! I am sad that I didn’t get pictures of everyone, and those I did get were of the people I could grab as they headed out the door! But thanks for coming everyone! And Mama, I hope you had a wonderful and happy birthday and feel special and loved as you are.

As we were waiting for Mama to arrive my cousin George danced around the kitchen with Ian. Surprise! and happy birthday! Peter had just flown in an hour before! The Bishops! Regina, Brett, Jim, Debbie, Mama, and I Brett, Regina, Veronique and Peter She will always be my Larin. :-) Seth, Austin, Jerome, and Ian Melissa and Regina Aunt JoAnn and Uncle Sammy! Mama, JoAnn, and Sammy Happy birthday, Mama!

It’s hard to believe our baby is one already. His first year has been a wonderful time and he is truly a bright blessing to us! I enjoyed remembering his birth and the wonderful people who surrounded us as we welcomed Ian into the world. I was praying for him before he was born and will continue through his life, that God will be glorified in Ian’s life and that he will love the Lord his God with his all. That is my hope for you, littlest Guy. I love you and happy birthday!

Gigi drew this with Jerome on Mema’s driveway.

{Iansone} Blue eyes and Gigi’s hat.

Ian climbed up all by himself. He loves stairs! I love how curious he is! It’s been so amazing to watch his personality develop! He is such a joy! Now to teach him how to get down stairs safely! We love you, Ian Daniel! As we got in the pool on Friday another storm rolled in, so we stayed in until it started thundering. Finally happy in the pool! It was such a trial getting Jerome in this far on the first day, but after he knew he could walk in the shallow end he had a blast! Seth took to the water pretty quickly. :-) I love his expression! Maybe my hair was tickling him? Gigi and Ian on his birthday! Oh how we love you! Mema bought Ian balloons for his birthday! But he was frustrated that he didn’t know how to pull them down to play with them. :-) Memama came over to celebrate Ian’s first birthday. And she brought gifts for the big boys, too! Thank you for the green tractors, Memama! They’re still a favorite around here! Party time! Gigi made cupcakes! Singing Happy Birthday. He liked the candle, but I think Seth blew it out for him. Thanks for the party, Gigi and Mema! I love you, Ian Daniel! Memama and Ian on his first birthday. Happy Birthday, little one!
