The reason for their trip down from Washington was to visit a very sick Doug, but they cheered him up and he got better so fast that he’s already out of the hospital and back to work! Shawn and Katy spent the afternoon and evening with us at our house, and I have no words for how wonderful it was to have them here again! Katy is so good about calling me and IMing that it felt like we hadn’t missed a beat in each other’s lives. Shawn played with the boys all day while Katy and I visited and he said he made a friend for life with Seth. đŸ™‚
